Robin McCormick
Robin McCormick is an Executive Director of EirGrid plc and is the General Manager of SEMO. Robin is also the General Manager of SONI Ltd, the System Operator in Northern Ireland.
A Graduate of Queen’s University Belfast (BSc Hons CEng FIET MSc MBA), Robin previously held a number of management positions within NIE including Business Strategy, Transmission Planning & Projects and Customer Service and played a key role in the design and implementation of the all-island wholesale market as a member of the SEM Executive Board. A member of the Institute of Directors, he serves on IET's NI Energy Policy Group.
Derek Lawler
Derek Lawler is the Market Operations Manager of the Single Electricity Market Operator (SEMO).
A Business Studies graduate of DCU, Derek previously worked in Irish Life Investment Managers and Eircom, before joining EirGrid in 2004. Since 2004, Derek has worked on a number of roles including Key Account Manager - Customer Relations and Stakeholder Management - All Island Project for the Single Electricity Market.
In 2008, Derek was appointed Manager - Commercial & Pricing with responsibility for connection offers, post offer contract management and pricing & tariffs.
Derek takes up his current role as Market Operations Manager in SEMO from 1st October 2012.
David Stevens
David Stevens is the Market Development Manager of the Single Electricity Market Operator.
David Stevens has over 30 years experience in the Electricity Industry. David has held a number of posts in NIE covering Planning, Construction, Testing, Commissioning with Field and Control Room Operations. In addition he was the Group Safety manager for Viridian and Regulation Manager within NIE.
His role in the All Island Project for the Single Electricity Market lead him into becoming the Market Development Manager for SEMO from which he is responsible for the Trading and Settlement Code (TSC) secretariat, TSC modifications and analysis, Market Modelling and Regulation dealing with both Regulators NIAUR & CER.
Sean Mackin
Sean Mackin is the IT Manager of the Single Electricity Market Operator.
Sean Mackin joined SONI in 2004 as a Technical Analyst and moved into the role of SEMO IT Manager in 2007. Prior to joining SONI, he worked for a number of US and Northern Ireland based IT companies. A graduate of the University of Ulster, Jordanstown, he holds a BA in Business Studies and MSc in Computers and Information Systems.
As SEMO IT Manager, Sean is responsible for the maintenance and development of the SEM IT systems & infrastructure, and developing & Implementing SEMO IT strategy across the business.
Nuala Dunne
Nuala Dunne is the Financial Controller of the Single Electricity Market Operator.
Nuala Dunne (Fellow of the Chartered Certified Accountants) was appointed Financial Controller of SEMO in December 2010. She has been part of the SEMO Finance team since its commencement in November 2007 and for a year prior to that was part of the All Island Project team.
Before joining EirGrid plc, Nuala worked for Davy (Stockbrokers) as Financial Reporting Manager and prior to that worked for a number of years in Lifetime Assurance.
As Financial Controller, Nuala is responsible for the financial management of SEMO, including financial reporting, budgetary control, management of working capital, financial governance and liaison of SEMO audits.
