EirGrid and SONI have published a revised
Weekly Operational Constraints Update for Week 24.
The revision includes a new Transmission Constraint Group (TCG) to
support the voltage in South-West Ireland (S_NBMIN_SWENB2): At times of low
demand and very low wind generation output in the region, additional generation
may be required. The TCG consists of the Whitegate (WG1) and Aghada (AD2)
units.
The revision also includes a correction to
the published
constraint ID for the existing South-West Generation TCG. The correct
constraint ID is S_NBMIN_SW_NB.
The weekly constraints update is published every Friday evening on the TSO
