Original Message 21/12/2018:

Dear Market Participants,

As communicated at most recent Market Operator User Group (MOUG), that took place on 11th December 2018, the Market Operator has recently identified two further manifest errors with respect to Imbalance Pricing.

1.       Profiling initial conditions in Quantity Bid Offer Accepted (QBOA) are set to an incorrect level after a unit came back from being dropped due to a different known defect (outlined in previously communicated MarketMessage). Under this scenario QBOAs for subsequent Dispatch Instructions were profiled to that incorrect MW level.

2.       Dispatch Instructions for Pumped Storage are occasionally not being processed correctly in QBOA, resulting in the previous instruction applying forward, primarily for desynchronising instructions. Note that a workaround has been deployed operationally to address the issue with desynchronising instructions going forward.

Discussions on these issues are underway with our vendor. SEMO is committed to addressing these issues and re-pricing the impacted periods, if applicable. Further updates will be provided to Participants via the MOUG meetings on the detail of these errors, the progress on the analysis of their materiality and when fixes can be expected.

Pricing Disputes have been received for the dates between the 22nd November to the 12th December and these disputes have been upheld. A full list of Trading Days subject to upheld Pricing Disputes, including further analysis on the aforementioned manifest errors can be found in the attached MOUG slidepack.

Kind Regards,

Market Operations
