Due to the prevailing system conditions, there will likely be tight generation capacity margins in the SEM on 06/01/2021 based on the latest information available to the TSOs.

As a result, it is anticipated that both Ireland and Northern Ireland could enter a System Alert (Amber) state, particularly in trading periods in the late afternoon and early evening.

This scenario is likely to evolve based on the proposed interconnector schedules and in line with the actual demand and generation availability on the day.
