SONI and EirGrid’s Transmission System Operator licences make provision for an audit of the scheduling and dispatch process (Condition 22.A.9 and Condition 10.A.9 respectively).

Following engagement with the Utility Regulator in Northern Ireland and the Commission for Regulation of Utilities in Ireland, SONI and EirGrid have published proposed Terms of Reference for the scheduling and dispatch process audit for the following periods:

-        01 January 2020 – 31 December 2020; and

-        01 January 2021 – 31 December 2021.

The Transmissions System Operators welcome the views of interested parties on the proposed scope as described in the consultation document, specifically on the matters which will be considered in scope and matters which will be excluded for the 2020 and 2021 audit periods.

Respondents are kindly requested to submit their feedback to OpsCompliance@SONI.ltd.uk and / or OpsCompliance@EirGrid.com before 5pm on Friday 12^th February 2021.
