Submission on Behalf of Trading Tool - Decommissioning 14th September 2021
We are pleased to announce the roll out of a new fall-back solution for ETS, which shall replace the Submission on Behalf of Trading (SOBT) tool which shall be decommissioned, taking effect on 14th September 2021.
The current SOBT fall-back process is triggered when a connection issue occurs between ETS servers and members, and therefore, orders are not placed via the normal ETS client but inserted into ETS via xlsx bidding forms. As of the maintenance window scheduled for September 14, this process will be replaced with the new solution as described below.
The new solution consists of setting up a secondary connection to the ETS Trading System, in addition to the existing primary connection. A network device will automatically reroute the flow to the secondary connection in case the first connection becomes unavailable.
In case a connection issue
occurs, members will be disconnected from the connection to ETS and must
re-connect to the same address using their credentials. Automatically, they
will be rerouted to the secondary connection as the switch-over is initiated by
the network device.
What are the benefits of this new
ETS fall-back solution?
· All auctions and all types of orders are covered
· Members simply re-connect to the same address, no further action is required
· No additional training
· No additional IP addresses to be white listed
· Faster process as the switch-over is instant
