Updated Message 26/01/2022

Dear Participant,

Mod_02_21 has been delivered as part of Release H.1 on Tuesday, 25th January 2022; and is now effective in the market systems.

This system change sets the System Operator Flag (SO Flag) to zero, for each Imbalance Pricing Period, in which an SO Interconnector Trade Quantity and Price is submitted.

The Market Operator will no longer revert to the Day-Ahead Market Back Up Price, where an SO Trade Quantity and Price has been agreed above the Strike Price; as previously required under Mod_16_21.

Should you have any queries on this communication please contact info@sem-o.com.

Kind regards,
SEMO Team

Dear Participant,

An emergency modification to the Balancing Market Trading and Settlement Code, Mod_16_21, has been approved. The modification and associated documentation can be found here.

The effect of this modification is that the Market Operator will apply the Day-Ahead Market Back Up Price for any periods where an SO Trade Quantity and Price has been agreed, across a SEM-GB Interconnector, in excess of the Strike Price (500 EUR); until the system deployment of Mod_02_21.

A new operational process has been implemented, a market message will be issued to Participants when an SO Trade Quantity and Price has been agreed above the Strike Price; and confirming that the Day-Ahead Market Back Up Price will be applied in Settlement.

This modification has been made effective from 23:00 28/09/2021 (Trading Day 29th September 2021).

Please send any related queries to info@sem-o.com.

Kind regards,

SEMO Team
