Dear Member, 

The SEMOpx April 2022 monthly report can be found here. 

The key market statistics are: 

• The traded  volume (GWh) was 3,881, a 4% increase compared to same period in 2021 and a 10% decrease respect March 2022.
• The traded value (millions) is 860.95, 161% higher than April 2021 and 33% lower than previous month.
• DAM average price is 218.53, 156% more than April 2021 and 25% less than March 2022.
  
• In summary, while volatility in gas prices and low wind generation in 2021 explain the discrepancies in figures between the two periods considered, the general decrease registered in April 2022 compared to March 2022 is due to fall in gas prices, demand and higher wind output.
