Dear Market Participants,

SEMO have become aware that three manifest errors have been reintroduced to the Balancing Market (Imbalance Pricing) following the release of a QBOA Hotfix, which was deployed on the 29th of April.

The manifest errors identified are as follows:

  • 5831: Cancelled Dispatch Instructions are being processed in pricing;
  • 5737:  Units being skipped in QBOA calculations due to  “Error Slope Calculation” causing periodic drop in NIV;
  • 5785: The RTQBOA is sporadically switching PBOA from Simple COD to Complex COD.

The deployment of ‘Release C’ which is scheduled for mid-June will resolve the matter by removing the defects. Waiting for Release C has been deemed the best course of action, allowing time for thorough testing and avoiding any further issues. These errors will be added to the Knows Issues report this week.

The impacted period will be repriced as part of the overall repricing plan, as communicated at the Market Operator User Group (MOUG) forum.

Any queries you may have can be addressed at the 9.30am Participant Call tomorrow. Alternatively please email us and we will endeavour to respond as soon as possible.

Kind regards,

SEMO Trading Operations
