Dear Market Participant,
Numerous participants are experiencing issues when submitting their PNs via type 2 or type 3 to the BMI. Following on from explanation over the 4:30pm participant call please see key points outlined below:
· The Balancing Market gate for physical
notification submission closes every day at 13:30
·
After this point you are required to submit your
PNs as follows:
o Trade
date must be the next ISEM trade date
§ E.G
in this case 14/06/2019
o Start
time an hour and a half ahead of today
§ E.G
currently it is 5pm so start time is 13/06/2019 18:30
o End
time must be D+1 @14/06/2019 23:00
§ E.G 23:00
If you are updating your PNs within day you are required to meet the following criteria:

Your first PN submission must be an hour and a
half ahead with the same MW value as currently in the system
o E.G
your PN of 10 MW exist for 13/06/2019 18:30 so your PN must begin with that MW
value as its start point
·
You must also ensure you ramp up or down to
match you PN closing MW
o E.G
you PN for 14/06/2019 is 20 MW so your closing MW must be equal to 20 MW
As discussed on the call, please submit PNs as soon as possible as they are required for the next LTS run. The LCF hotline remains available throughout the night to assist with any communication issue.
