Dear Market Member, 

On October 1, 2023, SEMOpx celebrated its fifth year of operation, successfully providing trading services in the daily and intraday timeframes to the Single Electricity Market.

Over the past 12 months, SEMOpx has facilitated the trading of over 49.6 TWh of electricity in the last 12 months, with traded volumes increasing by 3% compared to the previous year. The total value of transactions in the fifth year of operation reached 7.22 billion Euro, decreasing by 4.3 billion Euro compared to the previous 12 months of operation. This decline is a consequence of the considerable decrease in electricity prices since the last quarter of 2022 (average 40%)

During the last year SEMOpx welcomed an additional 9 members to the exchange taking the total active members to 70.
