Dear Capacity Market Participant,
The System Operators wish to update you on some important upcoming events in preparation for the 2029/2030 T-4 Capacity Auction.
2029/2030 T-4 Capacity Auction Information Sessions
Please be advised that two Information Sessions for the 2029/2030 T-4 Capacity Auction will take place on:
- Thursday 10th July 2025 from 11:00 to 12:00; and,
- Thursday 17th July 2025 from 11:00 to 12:00
The same information will be presented in both sessions. The sessions will be held via MS Teams and the MS Teams invite will be issued separately in advance of each session.

Registration
New Parties seeking to participate in the 2029/2030 T-4 Capacity Auction and existing Parties seeking to submit Applications for New Capacity Market Units that do not have a Capacity Market Unit identifier need to follow the steps set out in Joining the Capacity Market to register as a new Party or submit a Participation Notice in respect of a new Capacity Market Unit.
The System Operators recommend that applications for New Parties and Participation Notices for new Capacity Market Units are submitted as early as possible to afford the maximum amount of time for the registration process (e.g. to allow time for any clarifications that may be required in respect of submitted information).
In this regard, the System Operators request that the relevant registration documents and/or Participation Notices are submitted to the System Operators by the 18th July 2025. Please note that existing Parties that already have Capacity Market Unit identifiers do not need to register again.
Online Applications for Qualification
For the 2029/2030 T-4 Capacity Auction, Applications for Qualification will take place via a new online application section of the Capacity Market Platform. This process builds on the previous forms, will be more user-friendly and will allow Participants to view all submitted applications in a single centralised location.
In addition to the information sessions above, the System Operators will be running a number of training sessions to bring Participants through the new submission process and these sessions will take place on:
- Thursday 24th July 2025 from 11:00-12:00
- Thursday 31st July 2025 from 11:00-12:00
The information presented in both sessions will contain the same material. The sessions will be held via MS Teams and the MS Teams invite will be issued separately in advance of each session.
As the Capacity Market Platform will be the primary channel for submission of Applications for Qualification, it is recommended that at least one of your team attends one of these sessions. The System Operators will schedule additional sessions as required.

In addition to the above sessions, during the application window, the System Operators will be available to provide enhanced support to Participants submitting Applications for Qualification.
