Dear Market Participant,
We would like to advise you of the following upcoming changes to Certificate Management.
What is Changing:
The support from DigiCert for issuing digital certificates on the current PKI Platform is ending with certificate issuance ceasing on October 1, 2025. Organizations must transition to DigiCert's newer platform, to continue issuing and managing certificates. From the 1st of October 2025 we will no longer be able to issue or renew client certificates from the old PKI Platform. All new certificates from 1st of October will be issued from this new platform and it is therefore advised to be ready for this.
What is the Impact:
Your current certificate will continue to work up until it expires, but once it does you must have the new DigiCert Trust Assistant installed to download newly issued certificates from the new Platform. If your certificate is expiring imminently, to allow time to tackle any potential issues, it is advised that you renew your certificate early and in advance of the 1st of October, making sure that all is in order before the old certificate expires. You can renew via your PKI Client if the certificate was originally installed here and if the expiry is within 30 days.
From the 1st of October any new certificate request or certificate renewal request will be managed through the new platform and a new DigiCert Trust Assistant Client replacing the DigiCert PKI Client will be required to download any newly issued certificate. This new client is available for download from the useful links below, if it is not installed you will be prompted to download and install the new Client when attempting to download any certificate issued from the new platform. Documentation is available to install and configure the new client in the useful links below. The CCQT Market Participant Guide will also be updated in due course to reflect the same. The new Root CA and Intermediate CA for client certificates will be published to the SEMO website also.
