Dear Market Participant,

SONI and EirGrid, in their capacity as licenced Market Operator in Northern Ireland and Ireland respectively (together being SEMO), are required to produce a Market System Development Plan for approval by the Utility Regulator and the Commission for Regulation of Utilities. This plan is produced in accordance with Condition 16 of the SONI SEM Operator Licence and in accordance with Condition 4 of the EirGrid Market Operator License.

We would like to make you aware that the approved Market System Development Plan 2026 - 2027 is now published.

We have also published the Market System Development Plan Consultation Report 2026 - 2027 and all four consultation responses.
