Dear Capacity Market Participants
The System Operators are pleased to inform you that the Secondary Trading Module is now live in CMP giving effect to Modifications CMC_09_22, CMC_20_25 and sections M.12.3.1 and M.12.3.2 of CMC_11_21.
As previously advised in the Market Message issued on 21st April 2026, all users with existing trading rights (CMPT users) now have the ability to submit Secondary Trades directly through CMP. The System Operators recommend that all Participants carry out a review of all CMP user rights on a regular basis to ensure that all user accounts are up to date.
Secondary Trades already received via email will be processed by the System Operators; however, going forward, the primary channel for submitting Secondary Trades will be via CMP.
The System Operators encourage Participants to read the user guide to Secondary Trading via the Capacity Market Platform (CMP) as this guide includes a step-by-step process of how to submit Secondary Trades via this module, as demonstrated in the training sessions held on 2nd April and 14th April.
As this is a new process, a Secondary Trading helpdesk will be available from Friday 1st May 2026 to Thursday 20th May 2026. The System Operators will aim to resolve all queries via email. In the event that a query cannot be resolved via email, Participants can sign up to a Secondary Trading Clinic. More information on how the helpdesk will operate can be found below.
Step 1: Emailing Queries
- When sending an email, please use the below structure for the subject line
- FAO ST Helpdesk - PY_XXXXXX/PT_XXXXXX/CMU_XXXXXX - DD/MM/YY (start date of trade)
- E.g. FAO ST Helpdesk - PY_000999/PT_900001/GU_900001 - 15/05/26
- Please include screenshots of any draft trades as System Operators only have sight of Matched and Approved trades.
- Please include manual calculations where necessary.
Step 2: Clinics (6th May - 20th May)
- A Participant can avail of a Secondary Trading Clinic in the event that a query cannot be answered via email.
- There will be 2 slots available per day on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
- Each slot will be 30 minutes.
- Clinics will runs from 10:30 - 11:30.
- Prior to a clinic, the System Operators will issue an email confirming that the helpdesk is for information and training purposes only. Participants must acknowledge this by email before a meeting can be arranged.
- System Operators will then issue a MS teams link to the Participant.
If you have any questions on the above, please let us know by contacting us at capacitymarket@sem-o.com.
Kind regards,
Capacity Market Team
